The Royal Purple is not an official publication of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
All advertising is subject to approval by the Royal Purple. The Royal Purple reserves the right to deny any advertisement for any reason at any time. If an advertisement is deemed not approved and has already been paid for, the Royal Purple will refund the full amount.
Clients who sign contracts are required to fulfil them according to the established terms and conditions. If for any reason a contract is canceled, the client is still required to pay the full amount of the original contract. The Royal Purple is not responsible for typographical errors in proofs, camera-ready ads or electronically sent ad material. Billing adjustments for advertising errors will be determined by the Business Manager based on what percentage the error detracts from the effectiveness of the total advertising message. Such adjustments will not be considered unless the Business Manager is notified or the error before the next insertion of the ad or within ten days following a single insertion.
All advertising copy is subject to the approval of the Royal Purple. Any advertising that contains attacks of a personal, sexist, racist, ethnic, or religious nature will be rejected. Advertising copy that subjugates either gender to an inferior role is unacceptable.
The Royal Purple assumes no liability for failure to publish advertising on the date ordered.
Advertising position is neither sold nor guaranteed. However, position requests are gladly met when possible.
All advertisement changes and cancellations must be made before the advertising deadline. Ads cancelled after 4:00pm on the Thursday prior to publication will be subject to full charge for the advertisement space.
All political adverting must clearly identify the sponsor and bear the words “Paid Political Advertisement”
The advertiser assumes full liability for his/her advertisements and agrees to hold the Royal Purple unaccountable for publication and any claims that arise as a result of advertisements.
Personal advertisements may contain first names and last initials only. The Ad Manager reserves the right to reject advertisements considered distasteful or libelous.
Classified advertisements of business nature may not appear in the “personal” classification.
The Royal Purple reserves the right to change rates upon 30 days notice.
